Simply wonderful. That's all I have to say. When certain downloads fail or are very slow in other download managers or web browser I turn to iGetter. It works first time, every time. I also like the verbal notification when the download completes.
I've owned iGetter since November of using versions through 1. That's over 14 years! Panocha Nov 17 I thought I would try it again since there was an update, but it still has major problems. It doesn't work with Chrome. You have to click the plugin every time to allow it, and it destroys files and your ability to download from sites that regulate their downloads, like uploaded. I removed it and may try again some day if these issues are addressed.
Mrtomato May 26 I discovered iGetter about a week ago. Were it not for some glowing recommendations I'd heard, I never would have tried it. Because it looks like a throwback to OS Those garish coloured buttons have cheap developer written all over them! However, this is definitely one of those few instances when looks are deceiving. What I like about iGetter is that it downloads everything from everywhere without causing strange errors.
I really don't have to think about it too much. What I don't like about it aside from its look is that it doesn't download different file types to different locations.
Of course you can select download locations, but it's nice when apps do this automatically well, it's nice when it works. Maybe if it was a bit more feature rich - a bit more modern with tagging capabilities, say - I'd pay that. A great download manager. In fact, registration is optional, nag screen to remind you to buy. Fishscale Jun 22 I must admit, I never expected this one time category king to see another update so gave up on it ages ago. This makes downloading of your files much easier and faster.
Note that in some rare cases servers prevent resuming. If so, iGetter will notify you if you try to pause a non-resumable download. You can set the position of any download in the queue if you move it up or down to choose a better position.
You can also use queue filters to sort your downloads by folder, type and status. One of the basic features of iGetter is Segmented Downloading.
This feature is very useful when the servers from which you download have limits on download speed for every connection. This feature allows the latest new and most popular files of the FileAvenue. Results appear in separate groups. It shows detailed information of the currently selected download in the queue. Now iGetter will download successfully from servers responding with this error e.
This feature will allow you to preview the content of 'zip' compressed files before to download them. It will check the time of response and availability of the mirror servers. This feature will allow you to download files with iGetter and still use your web browser without loss of performance. This function can process all web page links for downloading with iGetter.
